Products and competences
Language testing in aviation has exceptionally high-stakes. Pilots and Controllers who fail to demonstrate compliance with the ICAO Language Proficiency Requirements may have their licence suspended or even withdrawn.
Aerosolutions' Aviation English Testing Solution was designed in collaboration with the University of Antwerp and consists of the following services:
- Aviation English Placement Test (AEP Test)
- English Language Proficiency Test for Aviation (ELP Test)
Our Aviation English Placement Test (AEP Test) is a comprehensive testing system that helps place candidates into appropriate Aviation English courses and maximizes their chances for success.
The English Language Proficiency Test for Aviation (ELP Test) has been developed by Aerosolutions to assess Pilots and Controllers for licensing purposes. It was specifically designed to comply with the principles and guidelines embodied in the Manual on the Implementation of language proficiency requirements by ICAO.
The ICAO language proficiency rating scale has been created specifically for aviation communication purposes. It defines six levels of proficiency. The following Table lists the levels along with functional and testing requirements associated with each level.
