Aviation Regulations require that an aircraft dispatcher is able to read, speak, and understand the English language. If unable to do so, an appropriate limitation may be placed on the certificate. Today Aerosolutions unveiled a new way for Flight Dispatchers to quickly and accurately assess their ability to listening, speaking and reading skills for licensing purposes: the ELP-OPS Test.Developed in collaboration with language and operational experts, the new online delivered OPS Test has been field tested and evaluated to verify its validity and reliability. The test addresses the specific language needs of Flight Dispatchers using operationally relevant aviation scenarios. Test takers listen to recorded spoken questions and must respond in real-time. Test rating and reporting processes are externally controlled by Aerosolutions to maintain test security and quality.
The ELP-OPS Test utilizes the same technology as Aerosolutions’ well known ELP Test for Pilots and is integrated into Aerosolutions ELP Data Management System (EDMS), a fully integrated test development, management, delivery, monitoring and reporting system.
