RADIOTELEPHONY COURSE
Are you ready?
The Radiotelephony Course is designed for non-native speakers of intermediate proficiency who need to improve their English skills for air traffic duties in domestic and international aviation environments where radiotelephony communication in English is required. During this course you will learn to communicate effectively using and understanding both standard ICAO phraseology and plain English.

The course has an emphasis on listening and understanding in all contexts in which radio communication occurs, such as:

  • General Phraseology
  • Aerodrome Phraseology
  • Radar Phraseology
  • Approach Phraseology
  • Area Phraseology
  • Emergency Procedures

The Radiotelephony Course is available to participants who have successfully completed the Aviation English Course or its equivalent (e.g. people having demonstrated sufficient experience as a pilot or an air traffic controller).

The 75-hours online course aims at developing aviation language skills leading to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Operational Level 4 Language Proficiency.

Additional classroom-led instruction can be provided upon request.
