Focusing on all aspects of effective verbal communication, the Speech Therapy and Accent Reduction Program will concentrate on the key areas of:

• Speech modification
• Accent familiarisation

This program is designed for people who need to improve and develop the quality of their pronunciation, intonation and articulation and it consists of 3 main parts:

• Working on specific sounds, vowels, diphthongs and plosives. This includes getting familiar with various accents and styles of English.
• Workshop activities where you will learn to express plain English through various text sorts.
• Language lab activities where you will practice aviation related literature.

The three parts are weaved together to form a comprehensive training program which will enhance your overall ability to communicate successfully. The Speech Therapy Course will be organised both as part of the Preparatory Aviation English Course and as an isolated course for those individuals whose English meets the required standards apart from their pronunciation.

This is a 30-hour-course, divided into 2-hour sessions.
